The Food Choices to Maintaining Healthy Vision

Our eyes need proper nutrition and care for their health maintained. I have searching for some resources and then I found there are at least, 10 choices of nutritious foods that are beneficial for maintaining healthy eyes.

1. Carrots

Carrots are rich in beta carotene. Beta carotene is converted by the body into vitamin A which plays an important role for our eyes. Carrots also can help our body to release free radicals.

This vegetable is rich in vitamins and nutrients needed eye, such as vitamin C, calcium, lutein, zeaxanthin, and sulforaphane. Broccoli can prevent breast cancer and as an antioxidant. Adding broccoli in the daily menu can also nourish the eyes.

3. Garlic

Garlic contains selenium and other nutrients that are good for the eyes, such as vitamin C and quercetin. Despite the sharp scent, garlic has many benefits for the organ, not only effective in preventing stroke for example.


4. Avocado

Avocados are nutrient dense and well proven for eye health. Moreover, avocados contain more lutein than any other fruit. Lutein is important for preventing macular degeneration (a decrease in visual acuity) and cataracts. Avocados are also an important source of nutrients for the eye such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and vitamin E.

The Foods to Brighter Your Skin Color

With good nutrition, our skin will health and look bright. What foods must be consumed to keep our skin bright or even brighter? Check this out! :)

1. Orange

All types of citrus fruit, including grapefruit, is a source of vitamin C, which have many benefits for the skin. Vitamin C increases the production of collagen and elastin in our bodies, which serves to reduce wrinkles and prevent aging skin. It is also believed to slow the production of melanin, the pigment that makes skin appear darker. Try to consume fresh orange once a day. In addition to oranges, tomatoes are also fruits which rich in vitamin C.

2. Red and green vegetables

Spinach, carrots, broccoli, and his friends contain more beta-carotene functions as an antioxidant for the skin. In addition to preventing damage to cells, beta-carotene also be converted by the body into vitamin A which is useful for combat acne, producing new skin cells and make skin color look brighter and younger. It would be better if we get vitamin A directly from the food and not from vitamin supplements, because the excess of vitamin A can actually interfere with our health.


3. Fish

This water creature is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which are the main recipe for a sunny bright skin. In addition, eating sardines, tuna, or salmon are rich in protein can help protect skin from sun exposure and pollution. The protein contained in it helps the reproductive cells and make skin look radiant.
