Balanced Nutrition for Children’s Growth and Development

Every day children need a balanced nutrition consisting of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Proper nutrition is necessary for help children to gain the optimal growth.

Nutritional intake can be obtained from the variety of food consumed. Fat consumption to 30 percent of total daily energy required to absorb important vitamins like A, D, E, and K to the max.


Nutritional problems of children should get special attention. There are issues of nutrition namely, malnutrition and excess nutrients which each have different indications and consequences.

To avoid this, they need a balanced composition of carbohydrates (45-65 percent), protein (10-25 percent), at least 30 percent fat, and other essential vitamins given to children to help optimize the development of the child.

Feeding the healthy food for kids

Planning to eat smart by parents is required in order to create a healthy diet, controlled, and fun. The key is the number of calories as needed, regular eating schedule and composition of foods with carbohydrates, protein, and fat balance, in addition to specific nutrients are met.

Malnutrition in children, will affect the physical growth, brain development, skill development, and social maturity.

Children ages one to three years need 1300 calories per day, aged four to six years need 1,800 calories per day, and the age of seven to 10 years need 2,000 calories per day

Children must be accustomed to eating three meals a day plus snacks to meet the needs of those calories.
